here is my brief talk, delivered on the closing ceremony of our संस्कृत classes

अहम् एकम् सत्य कथाम् वदामि । पन्जाबम्ध्ये एकम् ग्रामम् अस्ति 'श्री हरगोबिन्दपुरा' इति । तत् ग्रामम् षष्ठ गुर्येः नामतः अस्ति ।   

 यत्र-यत्र गुरुसहिब् गतवान् तत्र-तत्र नगर निर्माणम् अभवत् । उदाहरणार्थं अमृतसर सहिब्, नान्देड  सहिब्, अनन्द्पुर सहिब् च । तत्र तत्र नगरं श्रधालुजनाः बहु गुरुद्वाराः निर्माणम् कुर्वन्तः । उदाहरणार्थं यत्र ते आम्रफ़लम् खादितवन्तः तत्र 'गुरुद्वारा अम्ब सहिब्' इति यत्र ते दन्तधावनम् कुत्रवन्तः तत्र 'गुरुद्वारा दातुन सहिब्' इति च । विचित्रः !!  एतत् अस्ति गुरुसिक्खप्रेमम् ।

पुनः हरगोबिन्दपुराग्रामे गच्छामः ।  मुस्लिम श्रधालुजनाः आग्रह्कारणे, गुरुजी तत्ग्रामे एकम् मस्ज़िद् निर्माणित्वान् । श्रधालुजनाः तत्  नामान्कर्ण कृत्वान् 'गुरु की मसीत्' इति । बहु श्रधालुजनाः तत्र आगच्छिन्त स्म । प्रतिवर्ष्येः बहुसमारोहः सम्पनाः ।

देश्विभाजनस्मये पन्जाबराज्ये बहुदुखम् । बहुदुखम् । तदग्रामतः सर्वेमुस्लिमजना पाकिस्तान गतवन्तः । किम् कर्णियम् अधुना ? किम् कर्णियम् अधुना ? मस्ज़िदस्ये प्रबन्धन समस्या । श्रधालुजनाः तत् भवने 'श्री गुरु ग्रन्थ् सहिब्' स्थापितवन्तः ।

एतः प्राय  अष्टः वर्ष पूर्व एकः प्राचीन निवासी तदग्रामं आगत्वान । सः यदा तदमस्ज़िदं गतवान् तदा क्रुधः । तदपश्चात् सिक्ख संगतः एकम् पञ्चादशजनानाम् समिति निर्मितवन्तः । साः समिति शीघ्रं एकम् मोलवी महोदय प्रबन्धन कृत्वान् । एवम् पुनः मस्ज़िद् स्थापितवान् । तदारभ्य तत्र बहुधर्मीयाः एकत्र प्रभु स्मरणं कुर्वन्ति ।

Below is the English translation of this talk...

I am going to tell a true story. There is a town called 'Shri Hargobindpura' in Punjab. It is named after the Sixth Guru's name.   Where ever Guru Sahebaan went, various cities were constructed. For example: Amritsar Saheb, Nanded Saheb, Ananpur Saheb etc. In those cities the devotees constructed various Gurdwaras. For example: where they ate a Mango there 'Gurdwara Amb Saheb' is located .. where they had 'datun' there 'Gurdwara Datun Saheb' etc. .. amusing !!.. its all about love .. the love of Guru and His Disciples..   Let us go to 'Shri Hargobindpura' again. On the request of His Muslim devotees, Guru ji constructed a mosque in that town. That was called 'Guru Ki Maseet'. Many devotees used to come. Every year various celebrations used to held therein. The partition of this country was really horrible. Really really horrible!! All the Muslims from that town went Pakistan. Now what next? What next ? The problem of mosque management !! The devotees established 'Shri guru Granth Saheb ji' inside that building. About eight years earlier an old native visited that town. As he went to that mosque, he was quite furious. After that the Sikh Sangat made a fifteen member committee to solve the issue. The committee arranged for a moulvi immediately. Thus the mosque was reestablished. Since then people from different faiths visit there together for Prabhu Simran. But Media never tells good news!!!!!
